blolmaugh
I am new to WHMCS and WHM. I just started configuring all the stuff for both a few days ago. It seems it is easiest to create the Products in WHMCS and they should "sync" with WHM. I have tried this in numerous ways and can not seem to get it to work. Some of them are: I had spaces in the product names and took them out. I tried to create in WHM and it does not sync to WHMCS. I tried to create in WHMCS with details and then just the name in WHM and it doesn't sync. Please help as i am STUMPED! ugh!
JofleyUK
Can you give an example of exactly what you are doing? Exact steps of one that doesn't work, screenies would be good also.
blolmaugh
I create the hosting plan in WHMCS. "Testing" is the name this time. I save it and it Creates the package. I then log into WHM and create the package. It gives me the new package name (it added my user before the name). I then go back to WHMCS and I enter than name into WHMCS under the "WHM Package Name" and save my changes. From what i have understood in the tutorials is if i go into WHM, the details of the package should be there but they are not. I have attached some screen shots to help understand the steps better. THANKS
rodeoXtreme
Hi Blolmaugh, From your screenshots, it looks correct; however, in WHMCS I do not see any servers listed in the server group. Try adding a server to a server group and create an account. Also, test to confirm that you can access the server from WHMCS; I do this by going to Setup >> Server and click on the WHM button. If you are redirected and logged into the server, then it is configured correctly.
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted January 11, 2011 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted January 11, 2011 What error do you see on-screen or in Utilities > Activity Log when you place an order in WHMCS?
blolmaugh
@ Keith - I did not think i needed to have a server group if i did not have more than one server. It was not shown in tutorial. When i go to Setup >> Server, it does allow me to access WHM. @ John - It does not give me an error. It allows me to create an account. It does not auto create everything but i assume that has something to do with mail in payment and settings. I was going to work on getting that all set up once I have the products taken care of. I created a user, and after accepting the payment and such it created it in WHM. I used my "Bassethound" package. WHMCS created the account in WHM but it does not have the correct package info for that account of all account in WHM. Thanks for the help, Brian. WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted January 12, 2011 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted January 12, 2011 What about the "Error: Sorry, a group for that username already exists"? That's an error message and it indicates the username you tried to use to create the account is already in use on your server. If not under your WHM reseller then under another reseller on your server if shared. Try a different username.
blolmaugh
I did try a different user name. That was my bad when creating it. It creates a user account fine. The issue is the packages wont sync.
