remcorhee
Hi! When we send an email to a client and the password is included, the password is not shown (displayed like: ********) What to change? (probably something easy, but do not see the right buton, link or setting) best regards, Remco
GGWH-James
The password is actually sent in the e-mail to the client. However, it is replaced with "*" in the online copy of said e-mail for security. I would assume this is because the passwords are encrypted, but the e-mails table is not. Or, are you meaning that the client is actually receiving an e-mail containing "*" where the password should be?

remcorhee
Ok for the funny part: when I tick to send an auto mail with the password, the password is shown. When we send the mail to a client the password is shown as **** Cause we want to send the welcomemail in Dutch and don't know where to change the standard welcomemail we do it manually. But then the password is not shown... Thanks so far! best regards, Remco
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted January 6, 2011 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted January 6, 2011 By default passwords are irreversibly encrypted so cannot be viewed or emailed. When a new password is requested it's emailed to the client before being encrypted. You can disable this under Setup > General Settings > Security tab: http://wiki.whmcs.com/Security_Tab#Disable_MD5_Clients_Password
