How can I use smtp?

I am strugling to use smtp for my whmcs but do not know how to do that

I know about general setting -mail and I did successfully do it there

but what about support departments?

We'll need some more details of the problem you're having exactly. You can specify the mailserver details for support departments under Setup > Support Departments > Edit.

POP3 Importing Configuration (Only required if using POP3 Import method)

Hostname

Port

Login Name

Password

 

There is no place to put your smtp in there

in set up general setting - mail there are all sort of smtp configuration

but not in support departments

All email sending is done using the details in Setup > General Settings > Mail tab. The mail settings under Setup > Support Departments > Edit are only for receiving mail using the POP cron import method.
