how do i handle a short term product billing issue

hello

i have a client that refers work to me - so the work is not related to his website hosting.

This work is for a 3 or 6 month basis. How do i automatically handle the billing so that it will bill $x each month for 3 or 6 months (and maybe a set up fee).

I looked at addons butthey do not have a number of invoices then stop. Billible items does this but does not have a set up fee option.

Is billiable items th best way?
