Question

Hi,

I'm currently trying to choose between WHMCS and HostBill, I think WHMCS is currently ahead in my mind.

Could you confirm a few things please?:

  1. I've read through all the SagePay payment gateway threads I can find on the forum and it looks promising. I'm still unsure of which version(s) of SagePay WHMCS supports through - Form, Server, Server & inFrame, and/or Direct? Also, which of the supported SagePay products would WHMCS be able to repeat bill on and know that the credit card was charged successfully via a secure callback process like on PayPal IPN?
  2. If using SagePay Direct, WHMCS wouldn't store the credit card number in the database would it? I gather it just stores a token that can be re-used for billing? Otherwise we'll probably fail the PCI DSS audit :S
  3. Is the Xero accounting add-on included for free? Its mentioned in the WHMCS Wiki, but links to a payment page. I won't need any support, so wondered if there was a free community release?

Many Thanks,

Rob

Thanks for considering WHMCS:

1. The standard merchant gateway is supported, I believe it's branded as Sagepay Direct. We also have a SagePay Form module.

2. With Direct the card details are stored in the WHMCS database and submitted to Sagepay for repeat billings. It's a full merchant gateway so requires full PCI Certification.

3. I'm not aware of any free equivalents. An integration with Kashflow is included free.
