Stop Domain Renewal Upon Payment

Hi All,

I have a small issue in relation to payment being made and auto domain renewal.

 

I work for a body that funds people starting up in self employment and they do this by funding them. When I get an order from them however I register the domain and create the relevant webspace. This enables me to start the process of creating email accounts for business card and design use.

 

However on a few occasions when the payment has been made the process of setting the payment against the clients invoice has started an automated process of renewing the domain with the registrar.

 

Is there any way to stop this from happening?
