redonion
I have about 50-60 email templates in the backend of WHMCS under Setup > Email Templates. What I'm finding out is that when I send some of these templates to clients, the formatting gets all screwed up. My question, how can I "Test Send" these emails to myself? So I can see how they look before I make them live and start sending them to clients. Thanks

Carel
Hi John, how do you test WHMCS generated emails, like domain renewals?
m8internet
Setup a test client account For this purpose I use one of my generic personal email addresses, rather than a generic one of the admin email address You then setup a blank hosting package (that does not exist on your server) and a test Domain Name (the Domain Name does not exist) You can then amend the renewal and expiry dates on these If the hosting does expire it will result in an error in the suspension module, but the cron should complete otherwise You can then send test emails to this test client account Select the client and you will then see an option to "send email"
BadMo
I like the test idea , just need a box for the email and a test button on the form editor ! I agree the "Test Client" method will work , but a test at the form would be a lot easier BadMo FatCat Servers
