Grizzlyware Josh
Quick Q: Customer orders hosting with a domain transfer... Customer is asked what name servers to use on the transfer... Default ones are entered for my network. Customer clicks continue... order goes through. Losing registrar releases the domain, but even though the domain is now under my control, its name servers are still set to the ones from the losing registrar... Is this normal? Because I have to go in and adjust the NS's myself in admin. Joshhh

We add the info about changing the nameservers to the Transfer Completion email that gets sent to the client, and then they can change them when they're ready.
othellotech
you cant change the nameservers until the transfer completes - so when setting to "active" and informing the client that it's completed, set the correct nameservers at the same time
Grizzlyware Josh
Yeh thats what I do, but iwhats the point in WHMCS asking for the name servers if it doesn't even use them?

On transfers it shouldn't ask for nameservers - if you raise it with them as a bug they might fix it
