Curl Error: No URL set

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am having a problem getting WHMCS to work on a server other than the one it is installed on. The error I am getting:

Module Command Error CURL Error: 3 - No URL set!

Same error for Plesk or cPanel.

Currently it is installed on linux system with plesk. Are there any different configuration issues that I must do?

Thanks,

Alex

If using server groups please ensure you have at least one server assigned to that group. If not, please ensure you have a default server designated for each type.

Additionally pleas ensure the relevant ports are open in your server firewalls. The port being used depends on what module you are using but for cPanel it would be 2086/2087 and Plesk 8443.

Thanks John,

While verifying the ports I discovered that I didn't fully qualify my host name. It should have been xyz.host.com instead of host.com. Clicking on the Plesk button got me in even with out the fully qualified name, so that kind of threw me.

Same deal with cPanel. This one is a reseller account, so I needed to find out what the "actual" host name was, instead of "my" hostname.

Got them both working. I guess I just needed to know there wasn't some mysterious setting that I was omitting.

By any chance, is there a error log file somewhere that has a more detailed account of what is going on?

Thanks!

Alex
