PayPal Subscription Issue

Hi,

I have an issue with WHMCS handling a second order from an existing customer.

In May 2010 the customer placed an order for hosting and paid using PayPal to create an annual subscription. This order went through fine - the subscription was created and I was paid.

PayPal subscription is the only payment method set up in WHMCS right now.

In July 2010 the same customer placed an order for an 2nd hosting account. We offer a discount on the 2nd hosting account using a coupon code.

WHMCS generated a separate invoice # but when the customer clicked to PayPal, their original May 2010 subscription was modified to the new subscription amount and the payment for the second order never was processed. So now he's paying less for the 1st hosting account when it renews in May 2011 and we did not get paid for the 2nd hosting account.

In my WHMCS account it still shows the May 2010 order at the correct price and the invoice for the second subscription as unpaid.

I have spoken with PayPal and they say it is an API integration issue.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this so that any additional orders by the same client will result in additional subscriptions at PayPal rather than modifying their existing hosting subscription?

I have several other clients waiting to place orders but am holding off until I know their additional orders will be handled properly.

Thanks in advance for any help.
