BasilFawlty
I just installed a trial version. The install went fine and I was able to log into the admin section and set everything up. However, none of the images are showing up? Even the WHMCS header is missing. The files all appear to be there on the server, but they don't show up when I'm in WHMCS. Any ideas that might help would be appreciated.
mylove4life
has to be the config being wrong. if you go to general settings are the paths right?
BasilFawlty
Yes, I have tipple checked the paths and they are correct.. Even if I past the path directly to any image, for example: http://www.mydomain.com/whmcs/templates/default/header.jpg all I get is a red X, even though the file does appear to be there in the folder, something else is going on.
laszlof
Sounds like a permission problem. Check your error logs and see if you have the proper permissions on the directories.
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted August 4, 2010 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted August 4, 2010 What's the URL please so we can take a look?
BasilFawlty
I think I may have solved the problem. The permissions all looked good, so I downloaded the header.jpg file to my local computer from the server and tried to open it in Photoshop. It would not open and said something about an invalid jpg header. That got me thinking that maybe when I uploaded the images, they got uploaded in ASCII format and not Binary. I tried to re-upload the original file in Binary mode and that image now displays. Going to re-install the program and see if making sure the images are uploaded in Binary. Will let you know if this solves the problem.
BasilFawlty
UPDATE. I deleted my install and made sure the FTP mode was set to "Auto" and not ASCII so that the image files would be uploaded as binary files. This seems to have fixed the problem. Thought I'd pass this on in case anyone else runs into this issue. Bottom line - operator error.
