ah80
Hi Guys, For the past week, any new accounts setup through WHMCS to WHM (cpanel) have resulted in the new account obtaining a new IP instead of using the shared IP address. I have confirmed the WHM package is set to not have a dedicated IP and I've checked that WHMCS does not have dedicated IP selected. Nothing has changed on the server in the past couple of weeks and it's really got me confused. I did upgrade from 4.1 to 4.2 a bit over a week ago. I tried reserving the IP's in WHM, but now I get the following error in WHMCS when trying to create an account. "Your system has run out of available ip addresses, or you do not have permission to use any more ip addresses. (Unable to find an ip address.)" I have also confirmed the package names match in WHM and WHMCS. One odd thing is the package in the newly created account on the server is "Default" while it used to be the package name defined in WHMCS. Anyone experience these issues and can shed some light please?
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted June 16, 2010 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted June 16, 2010 In Setup > Product/Services > Edit > Module Settings tab. Have you filled in fields other than the WHM Package Name? Only the WHM Package Name is needed. Filling in other fields will create a custom package in WHM and not use the predefined packages.

Hi John, Thanks for the reply. There are no other details apart from the package name, yet the package on the server is still "default". Interesting thing is, I disabled the configurable options for a package in WHMCS and it solved the IP address issue, now I just need to find out why the package information isn't being sent to the server. I may just disable the configurable options while I figure it out as I could never get them to work properly anyway. I will update with more info as I go.
