laszlof
Is there a way to enable some kind of test mode in WHMCS? I want to import a large batch of customer, but want to make sure that its not going to start firing off ANY communication with these customers. its just a dry run of the import to make sure things go as planned. The real import and migration will be in the future. I know there is maintenance mode, but that only appears to limit access to the client area, and not limit the functioning of WHMCS. I do not have the cron jobs setup, there are no billing gateways setup, etc. But I do not wany any invoices going out, or anything like that. Thoughts?
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted May 19, 2010 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted May 19, 2010 Please navigate to Setup > General Settings > Mail Tab. Set the Type to SMTP, then leave all the other SMTP fields blank. WHMCS will not be able to send any emails to your clients
laszlof
Thanks John. Thats what I thought about doing, just wanted to make sure it would work as planned. I'd rather not have several thousand clients get emails from a billing application that isnt setup yet! Cheers -Frank
