danami
I was trying to parse the WHMCS announcement RSS feed using PHP's SimpleXMLElement and it was failing. A quick test shows that it is producing invalid RSS. To test enter the WHMCS announcement RSS feed in any of the various RSS feed validators out there: Announcement Feed: http://demo.whmcs.com/announcementsrss.php Validator http://validator.w3.org/feed/ Validation result http://validator.w3.org/feed/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fdemo.whmcs.com%2Fannouncementsrss.php Other rss validators show that the markup is invalid also: http://beta.feedvalidator.org/
Kian
Same here. I've this problem from my first day with WHMCS (more than 1 year ago). I think that it's time to fix it. My RSS says "Error: line 258 position 21"
nobaloney
Same here. I've this problem from my first day with WHMCS (more than 1 year ago). I think that it's time to fix it. My RSS says "Error: line 258 position 21" The title of this thread says [FIXED] but I just installed a demo license within the past two days, and clicking on the link on the announcements page either gives me the source code. Tested on Firefox 3, Firefox 4, and Chromium on Linux. My designer tested it on IE (I'm not sure which version) on Windows (I'm not sure which version) and it may work, but it doesn't look right. I can't enter a ticket because we're still in demo license. Can anyone give me more information on progress towards fixing this? Thanks. newgenservices
It is most likely fixed for the next release 4.5 You can open a ticket to enquire if a fix is available for the current version.
