export transactions wrong amount

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I am using version 4.2.1.

When I go to Reports > Export > Transactions, I can get a CSV of the transactions within a specific time.

But when I look in the columns Amount IN and Amount OUT there sometimes stands the date: 01-11-89 instead of the amount.

When I look into WHMCS and look at the specific transaction, all data is correct in WHMCS.

Where does this go wrong? The problem is that from the 100 rules that I get there are about 10 where the date stands instead of the amount.

thanks for helping.

Are you opening the file directly in Excel? It may be that Excel is being "smart" and thinking the number is a date. During the import into Excel you should be able to see the data type for each column. Set any amount columns to a decimal number and the date will not appear. Alternatively once imported set the column properties to display the value as a decimal (or currency) value.

I am sorry for naming it Excel, but I am using Open Office.

I have found the problem. The CSV file is correct, but when I import it into OpenOffice it gets mixed up.

I have defined the cells as being numbers or currency, but both will not turn up into a correct number of amount.

Has anyone an idea? Or solution?
