need to sell a few items nothing to do with web hosting biz please guide me

OK, I have a few items that has nothing to do with webhosting, domain or any thing like that

selling a few items like books that i need to ship to customer.

 

How to achieve this? The language file every where has hosting and domain terms

and the temples also.

 

Is it possible so that I can customize the whmcs , an additional temple ( now sure) some thing that can I somehow get this items for new set of customers?

You can disable the "Require Domains" option in Setup > Product/Services > Edit.

but when a client goes to his details he can still see domain menu and all those stuffs.

If you are talking about profile, you need to edit the following templates, i just did that today:

 

clientareacontacts.tpl

clientareaaddcontact.tpl

Thanks that will change things for every body some are still using hosting packages.

Or perhaps I could come up with another template.

 

One question though Do people use whmcs for a normal retail shopping mall?

Is that a good Idea?

Retail products are usually done as addon options like downloads. As for true retail use.... I wouldn't see why you would want to use whmcs for that.

 

I am sure you can use osCommerce for that sort of thing.
