knipper Posted March 25, 2010 Share Posted March 25, 2010 Hey guys, I recently got two new orders both paid via Paypal. They made payments (I use a paypal subscription) Their payments went through paypal, but did not flow back into my WHMCS. Status was unpaid and pending. When I logged into paypal, you could see a sucessful subscription created as well as a instant payment. I checked my Paypal setup, IPN was activated, and I did have this URL in the IPN field: http://www.mydomain.com/clientarea/ However, I noticed in an old thread that this URL should be used: http://www.mydomain.com/clientarea/modules/gateways/callback/paypal.php I thought that when paypal payment was received it would also do automated setup, as with credit cards. Can someone shed some light, or how to check/correct this? 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted March 25, 2010 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted March 25, 2010 It doesn't matter which URL you enter in the PayPal site. As long as IPN and Message delivery are enabled. Check Billing > Gateway Log to see if there's any response from PayPal coming through. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
knipper Posted March 26, 2010 Author Share Posted March 26, 2010 Hi John, Yes, there are responses from Paypal. I have copied the response below, BUT I have changed information for security purposes: On the right side it shows - "Unrecognised Currency" for both Here is the first one which appears to be the subscription: transaction_subject => payment_date => 01:22:24 Mar 25, 2010 PDT txn_type => subscr_payment subscr_id => I-6YYKJUIHATXF last_name => Custlastname residence_country => IN item_name => Hosting - Invoice #2229 payment_gross => 4.00 mc_currency => USD business => mypaypalaccount@mydomain.com payment_type => instant protection_eligibility => Ineligible verify_sign => AOcqajQWnAby-dSSeMJvuMLAwBWC.6vwJBSb4z-R8FCw6j046J7 payer_status => verified payer_email => buyersemail@gmail.com txn_id => 32B09009DC624264S receiver_email => mypaypalaccount@mydomain.com first_name => Custfirst payer_id => 7XGVUJHYFHJ6 receiver_id => VZWYLKIJHS5F8 payment_status => Completed payment_fee => 0.46 mc_fee => 0.46 mc_gross => 4.00 custom => 8 charset => windows-1252 notify_version => 2.9 ================== Here is the second one which seems to be the actual instant payment, again info changed for security: transaction_subject => payment_date => 01:22:24 Mar 25, 2010 PDT txn_type => subscr_payment subscr_id => I-6YY2JHUBGTXF last_name => Custlastname residence_country => IN item_name => Hosting - Invoice #2229 payment_gross => 4.00 mc_currency => USD business => mypaypalaccount@mydomain.com payment_type => instant protection_eligibility => Ineligible verify_sign => AOc0BEB7qajQWnAby-dSSeMJvuMLAwBWC.6vwJBSb4z-R8FC46J7 payer_status => verified payer_email => buyersemail@gmail.com txn_id => 32B09009BK724264S receiver_email => mypaypalaccount@mydomain.com first_name => Custfirst payer_id => 7XGVTNJHGBHJ6 receiver_id => VZWY76OLS5F8 payment_status => Completed payment_fee => 0.46 mc_fee => 0.46 mc_gross => 4.00 custom => 8 charset => windows-1252 notify_version => 2.9 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
knipper Posted March 26, 2010 Author Share Posted March 26, 2010 I checked my currencies in WHMCS... and did not have them set up correctly. Which was causing the Paypal error. After the quick fix, I placed an order via Paypal, and the account auto setup notification came right in... and the account was set up right away! YEA!! 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
