jnet
I am confused and very angry with a client before he had double subscription , we received a payment after he canceled his account and then he filed a report to paypal for Unauthorized Payment , we gave him a refund but today he again paid and then sent another claim to paypal for unauthorized payment. I want to make sure it is not whmcs withdrawing money from his account. Is it possible that whmcs withdraws money from a client without authorization or is it his paypal subscription? Please help me with this I am very confused
vchosting
You can remove the subscription ID under WHMCS under the clients details and then the product or service that it relates to. I take it that your systme is still creating invoices to him. If so stp that also by clsing his account or by cancelling his services. Then WHMCS will not raise an invoice.
jnet
Hi, Thank you for your reply, The subscription ID has already been removed, the product has already been canceled. what I see is the same invoice with multiple transactions. He says he had canceled his subscription from paypal and claims that we have done an unauthorized payment. Now is that possible that whmcs withdraws money from a client account when he has no paypal subscription? I am very confused with this particular client.
vchosting
I would login to your paypal account and see what is happening. I personally would raise the issue with paypal and ask then to stop requesting payments from the persons account. Im sorry im a little vague but without looking at your WHMCS and his client area along with your paypal account it is difficult to see what is happening.
bear
As far as I'm aware, WHMCS doesn't initiate a payment request to Paypal with either once off or subscription payments. When you set up a Paypal subscription, that's done at Paypal, which returns a response to WHMCS to let it know the payment was made. The recurring payment is done from Paypal, and passes info back again to state a new payment was made against that same subscription ID/email. WHMCS matches that and marks invoices paid. Removing the subscription ID from WHMCS probably won't do anything... You need to log into Paypal and find the subscription and cancel it. That will end it.
jnet
Thanks guys! one question I have been searching in google but could not find any thing. Is it possible that even though he did cancel his subscription from paypal a bug or some thing in paypal did not successfully unsubscribe him? as this is the second time it has happened and I did cancel his subscription from paypal and he says he did cancel his subscription before I decided to contact paypal before refunding him. he is the only person I have experienced this so I think I need to wait and see what paypal says about.
bear
Is it possible this person is confused easily and is recreating the subscription based on new invoices or something? I've had customers in the past that simply kept signing back up... If not that, it almost certainly has to be something at Paypal's end.
patsyd
I'm new... so please bear with me. Is it possible to setup PayPal without the subscription option? I plan to have recurring annual payments and would rather WHMCS send an invoice requesting payment rather than an automatic process from PayPal. Don't want to go through what this original poster went through. Thanks, Patsy
jnet
Believe I am fed up with all subscriptions and overpayments. My issue is that I have many customers for which I do need to send invoice reminders and as I can not control to whom I send invoice reminders when ever those using paypal see it they forget they already have a paypal subscription and pay again. I tell them many times and even has put some info in the invoice for reminder but it does not work I love whmcs but this is right now the only think I hope some who whmcs guys would solve it
