grfirst
HELP! PLEASE! Hi everyone, can someone please assist me here as I am getting this error when I click the get account list under the cPanel/WHM Import utility: Connection Error couldn't connect to host (Code 7) - Check IP/Blocked Firewall Ports Now what is weird is that when I initially set up my server and accounts, I went to utility, and all of my accounts were listed, but, I choose not to import them then, because I wanted to be sure I had some other settings and configurations in place first. I then went back later on that day (all day), and tried to import them once I finished with my other stuff, then the error appeared. So I figured I must have reset something I wasn't supposed to, and proceeded to go back one by one and re-check and double check everything I had done, and I was still unable to get my list of accounts. I called it a night, and got up this morning and went to the utility, and lo and behold, when I clicked the get accounts list button, they all showed up perfectly. Again I choose not to import them, because I wanted to investigate what happened or changed from the time I went to sleep till this morning, couldn't find anything, and went back to the utility to do the import, and now it's jumping right back up into my face: Connection Error couldn't connect to host (Code 7) - Check IP/Blocked Firewall Ports
grfirst
This is weird indeed. I just went back to the unility and all accounts listed with the click of the button. I went ahead and imported them all this time . Still don't know what happened though, but it would be nice if I could figure it out.
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted March 16, 2010 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted March 16, 2010 As the error message suggests, it's firewall related: http://wiki.whmcs.com/Common_Troubleshooting_Tips#Server_Command_Error_-_Curl_Error_-_Couldn.27t_connect_to_host_.287.29
grfirst
so are you saying that sometimes the firewall trips it up, and sometimes it does not?
grfirst
Also John, it would be great if there was a step by step guide you could point me towards. I mean identifying or suggesting what the problems is, is great for experienced gurus, but noobs like myself could always use an extra set of instructions leading to the resolution of the issue, opposed to only pointing out what the issue is .
