rdavis
Just a FYI about this product. We did sign up a while back and paid our $99.00. Jumped in with both feet..... We jumped through all the hoops McAfee Secure needed us to change to secure our server, office network and computers to qualify for the PCI compliance part. This alone took several weeks working with our IT reps at our server farm to accomplish. Long story there, anyway once we made compliance we thought we were going to get our McAfee Secure Logo to place on our website. Not a chance! Not reading the details of this McAfee PCI Compliance Service we signed up and spent $99.00 for ONLY PCI Compliance. That is all you get with this program. Please don't get us wrong, $99.00 as compared to $310.00 is a deal. But don't think your are getting a Live Security McAfee Logo to put on your web site, because you're not! Retail McAfee Secure tested daily and with the McAfee Logo is $927.00 a year. With some negotiating and weeks later, we got McAfee down to $479.00 a year, but we just could not justify even that amount right then. Keep in mind McAfee's basic $927.00 package is on a sliding scale. The more clients you have, the more McAfee Secure will cost you as it is renewed yearly. Hope this gives a better picture of what McAfee PCI Compliance Service for WHMCS users can expect after signup.

rldev
Wow I wish I would have read this 2 weeks ago. That's $100 down the drain.

WHMCS CEO Matt Posted March 9, 2010 WHMCS CEO Share Posted March 9, 2010 Wow I wish I would have read this 2 weeks ago. That's $100 down the drain. Hardly down the drain. The offer is for PCI Compliance scanning, not McAfee SecureCode (and as mentioned, McAfee Secure Code is a much more costly package, often up in the thousands range). The PCI Compliance service we're offering is what you need to satisfy most merchant account requirements so you still at least need to get that if the SecureCode is not of interest to you. It doesn't give you the McAfee logo to display that you're having daily scans because you don't get that, but you do get quarterly ones and still avail the benefits of the security scans, and PCI compliance if you complete the steps. And if you do want to upgrade to the higher priced SecureCode packages, as a WHMCS user you are entitled to similar discounted rates on those too).
