htacccess Issue with announcements page

Hey guys, I'm having some issues getting the SEO friendly URLs to work.

 

1. My WHMCS is installed on http://subdomain.website.net/whmcs/

2. I have renamed .htaccess from htaccess.txt

 

When I turn on SEO friendly URLs and i click on an announcement all i get is a blank 404.

 

Here is the htaccess:

 

RewriteEngine On

RewriteRule ^announcements/([0-9]+)/[a-z0-9_-]+\.html$ ./announcements.php?id=$1 [L,NC]

RewriteRule ^announcements$ ./announcements.php [L,NC]

Please confirm that mod_rewrite is installed on your server.

Yes mod rewrite is used on the server as I use this on other scripts installed on my site.
