INVALID HASH - New Install / OS X / PHP 5.3

uptimejeff

Question

Hi

I'm eval'ing WHMCS

Just installed with trial key

OS X Server

Apache 2

PHP 5.3

Loaded the 64bit ioncube 3.3.9 Modules

(ioncube appears to be working just fine)

Here's php -v

PHP 5.3.0 (cli) (built: Jul 19 2009 00:34:29)

Copyright © 1997-2009 The PHP Group

Zend Engine v2.3.0, Copyright © 1998-2009 Zend Technologies

with the ionCube PHP Loader v3.3.9, Copyright © 2002-2009, by ionCube Ltd.

The install process went just fine. Made it to the screen which tells you to delete the install folder.

The next step is to login to the admin.

When I go to:

http://domain.com/whmcs/admin/index.php'>http://domain.com/whmcs/admin/index.php

I get the following:

Local Key MD5 Hash Invalid

Local Key Validation: GB

Remote Check Completed

If I go to the the mhmcs directory:

http://domain.com/whmcs/

I get absolutely nothing (blank page)

Any ideas?

Thanks

CORRECTION

I didn't realize the license is tied to your install directory.. I put my whmcs directory back to the original name (/billing) from my first attempt at install.

Now, I don't get the invalid hash anymore.... but I still can't get an admin or user page to load.

This URL

http://backupfly.com/billing/admin/'>http://backupfly.com/billing/admin/

displays only

Local Key Validation: 1

Remote Check Completed

and the top level of mhmcs displays nothing

http://backupfly.com/billing

Any suggestions?

Jeff

  • WHMCS Support Manager

We've been finding that WHMCS will not function with on PHP 5.3 at the moment. Ioncube are currently investigating it and so far have said it appears to be a bytecode corruption issue but no solution as yet. You will therefore need to downgrade to PHP 5.2.x until Ioncube releases an update for it - apologies for any inconvenience but this issue is outside our control.

Thanks for the replies

I downgraded to PHP 5.2 and this resolved the page loading (blank) issues.

For reference.

OS X Server 10.6 (aka Snow Leopard Server) ships with PHP 5.3

It's very simple to install PHP 5.2 without compromising the ability to go back to the original 5.3. Directions are here:

Centos , php 5.3.1 - same problems

displays only

Local Key Validation: 1

Remote Check Completed

Client area loads fine, except text strings - only the first letter of string is being showed..

Downgrading to 5.2.11 ...

I'm was Centos 5.4, PHP 5.3.2, same issue. Rebuilding Apache/PHP now back to 5.2.13 fixed it

I obviously can't type on my phone. Looks like I can't edit my last post, but I meant

I was using Centos 5.4 with PHP 5.3.2 and had the same issue. Rebuilding PHP back to 5.2.14 fixed it! :-)
