[NOT A BUG] Adding an order for a client with billing set to free

We seem to have an issue that when you manually add an order for an existing customer and set the billing cycle to free, when you place the order, the billing cycle is then set back to that of the standard package and so no longer free. Can anyone else confirm this please?

I guess it would all depend on how you have your product/services pricing set for that added order item. We just tried it in our test account and it worked ok. But the product/services pricing for that item was set to free.

We don't have free products though, however when trying to add free accounts for certain reasons, these keep getting set back to the normal billing cycle which means that you have to edit it again before activating the order.

The system won't let an order be placed for a billing cycle which isn't activated for that product. You can however change it to a custom cycle once the order has been placed.

Thanks for clarifying that Matt - at least i'm not going mad We have been changing it to a custom cycle (ie free) once the order has been manually placed. It's just a bit of a pain that you cannot do this without the additional step, although we're not adding that many in this way anyway.
