Server Management Console.

Recommended Posts

Finally, we are actually testing a WHMCS addon which will allow admins to manage (actually only Softlayer) remote servers directly from the WHMCS control panel.

This addon will allow the following operations:

  • Addon Setup
  • Accounting overview
  • Remote cancellation
  • Hardware Firewall settings (Still in dev)
  • Remote Security scanner
  • Support ticket overview
  • Reboot
  • Hardware settings
  • Public Bandwidth graphs (Current/Previous billing period, Day, Month, Year, Custom views + Current Billing Cycle Bandwidth Usage Status Bar.)
  • Public Network Ports Control (Turn on/off port + set uplink speed)
  • Private Bandwidth graphs (Current/Previous billing period, Day, Month, Year, Custom views)
  • Private Network Ports Control (Turn on/off port + set uplink speed)

This addon requires PHP5 and SOAP installed on the server.

We are actually testing the early beta version. It will be available to the public within the 10 next days. Price has still to be determined.

  • Screenshot 1: Module configuration.
  • Screenshot 2: Accounting overview.
  • Screenshot 3: Sensor readings

Its nice for admins but more useful would be if end user/client could manage his server by client area like:

-- View Public and Private Public Bandwidth graphs

-- Manage DNS

-- OS Reload

-- Remote reboot

-- Server Status

Id certainly be interested in a module like this if the client can utilise these functions

Thank you for your interest.

Actually, we are focusing on admin side and Softlayer servers.

Later it will be possible to extend the software to fit customers needs. We will consider with attention all requests.

will you provide a version with source ?

No, the script will be ioncubed.

UPDATE: Online reboot feature with ajax-ping verification is actually implemented.

Would be great to allow the customers to reboot themselves their servers. That will save a lot of time and make them very happy.

Actually we focus on the admin side panel. However, allowing customers to reboot their own server will be feasible in a second stage of development.

Any news ???

Yes.

The License price will be around 60€ and will come with 6 months of free download/support.

The development of this module has been delayed but still continue forward.

Last week, Ajax remote reboot has been finalized and I started this week with the trouble tickets panel and port speed control.

Beside this, we decided to remove the "Remote cancellation" feature which was, to our point of view, a security risk.

I expect to release to free limited beta version somewhen next week. (The time for me to finish the few features I am actually working on and clean the code).
