Setup Automation using cPanel/WHM

Solstice

Question

I have kind of an unusual situation and am trying to figure out if WHMCS is the right choice for me. My site sells access to a php script, basically an evolving niche CMS. Currently, we're using CS Cart and setting everything up manually, which is becoming a pain so I'm looking at ways to automate this process.

My question is, is there a way with WHMCS using cPanel/WHM integration to set it up so that when a new account is purchased the following happens:

  • A Subdomain of the client's choice is created in cPanel/WHM (or new cPanel w/ the subdomain as the primary domain)
  • A php script is executed that will automatically make a copy of the files to their new subdomain's public_html directory, create the MySQL database, etc.

I can write the script that needs to be called myself if necessary but I'm unsure if there is a way to make WHMCS actually call the script once payment (via Paypal for now) is complete?

I hope this makes sense lol

Happy New Year!

Thanks John, worked like a charm!

Got a copy of WHMCS and for the record it's totally awesome!

To anyone else reading this, particularly people thinking of buying - let me say, for the record, that WHMCS blows every other similar platform I've tried (over 20 different solutions) completely, and totally, OUT OF THE WATER!! From template design to functionality it is, by far, the easiest system to use I have ever seen!

Thanks!
