Hosting Reseller

0Cool

Question

Searching for a new hosting reseller I came across WHMCS, what great product kind of embarrassed i did not know about it until now :|

I am a webdesigner current hosting about 50 sites on FASTHOST Reseller package, over the last few months i and my customers have noticed a degradion in services. This is some what disappointing as only 6 of my customers i would class as " high traffic cust"

So am starting the search for a new reseller and of cause i willbe using WHMCS:-P to automate my current customers and hopefully atract new ones :)

I have been looking on http://www.webhostingtalk.com/ for recommendations, i am aware of

FASTHOSTS

HEART INTERNET

UK2

I would really appreciate any recommendations of quality resellers.

Thanks

Lee

Fasthost or Fasthosts?

If it's the latter, it's a complaint we hear all too often these days.

I'm surprised you're with Fasthosts, they're expensive. I don't even think they use cPanel, and Heart Internet definitely doesn't offer cPanel - I recommend getting a reseller account who offers cPanel. This is because it's the most popular one, and most prefer it and already know how to use it.

They've got their own custom built control panel. Surprised they don' charge extra for it, like they do for everything else!

LOL - Yeah, they are pretty expensive. They offer unlimited web space and bandwidth yet charge £25 for each database that is used, plus other extras. Pretty silly if you ask me. It's why I never signed up with them from the start.

they've been useless for years, so if even thats degrading I pity you/your clients !

well that counts out 2 of your 3, with the other one seeming to return to the bad-old-days of poor support.

>I have been looking on

try webhostchat .co.uk for UK hosts, WHT is (almost) entirely populated by US companies.

The only recommendation I would give you, just in case you were thinking about it, is avoid UK2 like the plague.

The only thing we love about them is they are superb at sending business our way, because people get so sick of poor service and lets say at last count for one of our clients, 15 outages in one day on our last monitoring, and an average of 4 outages a day, they are far from reliable.

If you want more control consider going down a VPS route, it is what most Reseller Account Holders realise eventually. The costs can be less than Reseller Accounts depending on the provider and the service is as reliable as the main node, and however you run your VPS.

But in short, stay clear of UK2.

Innohosting.com seem pretty decent, although they appear to oversell their servers which causes issues eventually.

any recommendations of a good hosting reseller, pm me if people want to keep there vendor out of public view

There should be no reason whatsoever for that.

How about you PM me? lol - you have PM's turned off...
PM's were disabled by default Receive Email from Other Members Now Enabled :)

PMs are not enabled for new members in order to keep anyone from sending spam offers (hint hint) to them and to keep them from spamming others.

Let's keep any and all recommendations on the public board, please.
