  1. Hey everyone, I recently acquired a hosting company which uses WHMCS and I'm still trying to get used to the business logic that makes WHMCS tick. (And by the way, if anyone has some documentation or links on how to make the most of WHMCS and its logic flow, I'd really appreciate that). One interesting thing that I noticed with this hosting company is that the previous owner didn't delete customers with fraud orders. He told me that he keeps the customers marked as "fraud" so that they couldn't reattempt to re-order with the same email, IP, or information. Isn't this redundant since Maxmind would mark the new order as fraudulent? What do you guys think about this and how do you deal with this? Do you delete the custom accounts as soon as fraud is detected or just leave them hanging around the database? Thanks!
  2. Hey everyone, I have a few questions concerning WHMCS functionality that I just can't solve myself. I'd appreciate if someone knowledgeable or Matt would answer to these: 1) Let's say that a client is on a recurring monthly plan. He ordered his plan on the 30th of the month. How can I change the anniversary date? I thought that this was the "next invoice date" but I think that that option doesn't change the anniversary. 2) A client has ordered a hosting package with an annual payment. The year goes by and he now decides that he wants to pay monthly. How would he go? 3) I do gameservers, and my prices are counted by the number of player slots. Does the latest version of WHMCS have support for "per slot" billing? If not, how should I proceed? 4) Domain management: Is there a way for the client to renew his domain whenever he wants? Or does he need to wait the yearly invoice for the renew? That will be all for now. thanks.
  3. I use Cyberduck (FTP client) along with TextMate (text editor). They both work along very well and both of these product can do live updating. I just change something up, press save, and it's already on the webserver. TextMate is about $50, but I bought it and it's worth every penny. I use it for all my web development projects.
  4. Thanks a lot, mate. That's exactly what I've been looking for.
  5. Hello everybody, Before I go onto asking my question, I would just like to point out that I've tried searching for it's answer both on Google and this forum. I might have used the wrong keywords, so I'm extremely sorry if this has been asked many times before: How can I add a custom page to WHMCS? I want to replace the Server Status page by a FAQ page. I just need to know how should I go for just creating a static blank page (with all the template and theme visible, of course) and just put HTML code in it to create content. Thanks in advance, Paul
  6. Oh, man. Can you put it back up or something? I'd really want to see the old design.
  7. Hello everybody, I'm trying to setup my new WHMCS, and I would like to know how can I remove the Server Status and Downloads section from the index page from the script. Is it as easy as just selecting an option in the panel, or do I actually need to edit the template and delete files. As much as I appreciate that Matt put those in, I don't want to use these sections. Thanks, Paul
  8. Looks nice, but are you sure that you're allowed to use the NY NOC's header image? thenynoc.com
  9. Heya everyone, I was wondering if it's possible to know the ballpark of the WHMCS 3.2 release date. Is it going to be released within a few weeks? Next month? This fall? The reason why I'm asking this is that I'm really eager to get my hands on WHMCS, now that it supports ResellOne. I'm really liking this script, it's wonderful that I'll finally be able to use it. Thanks.
  10. That's not such a good thing. The way that Plesk is supposed to work is that resellers have accounts. Not the clients themselves. The custommers only have a domain and access to the control panel. If you explore in details, you'll see that a cclient account has the possibility to undisable certain features and "rig" stuff more than you'd want a shared hosting account custommer to have.
  11. I always ask dedicated server payments 7 days before I need to pay the datacenter for the server. I impose on the custommer that, if he doesn't pay on a certain date, his server will be cancelled RIGHT AWAY and that there will be no tolerence. So far, it seems like my system is working
  12. I second that. I got, almost, all of my servers there. Amazing products and people are there. Stay away from TP and EV1, there, hell is breaking lose.
