WHMCS domain pricing & Enom default pricing?
HostBizLng replied to HostBizLng's topic in General Discussion
Like I said, nothing personal and no bad feelings. I just expressed my opinion, honestly, after spending so much time to decipher Rob's first reply on this thread, "possibly/no/not applicable/ignore, its not relevant," does this kind of reply helping me in any way? What this reply means? I am glad that I am in his list and that I am not going to receive replies like that from him anymore. And I'll make sure to contribute in this forum in helpful manner. Sincerely, Serg -

WHMCS domain pricing & Enom default pricing?
HostBizLng replied to HostBizLng's topic in General Discussion
I don't mind to learn by trial and error. As a matter of fact I do on a daily basis. But forums and discussions like one on this site is for discussing and trying to find answers on things we do not understand. And if I personally would post an answer to someone who has trouble with understanding something I would do it with clear details, respectfully and with helping intentions; not like (yes/no/N/A) as if I am tired of all those amateur newcomers, who don't know as much as I do (which is the case with you guys - 6-10 years in business, ha!) I do learn by trial and error just like everyone else, but when I come to forums like this one, (and this forum is suppose to be a part of WHMCS peer -to-peer support!!!) I expect a little help and I do not come here with big requests, my questions are detailed and to the point. I wonder how you giving support to your clients, I hope it's not (yes/no/N/A ) As far as I've seen your replies to me in this forum, they are absolutely not helpful, and even rude, as I said earlier, as if you are tired of us who don't know as much as you do. Have a good one! Sincerely, Serg -
WHMCS domain pricing & Enom default pricing?

Thank you Rob, chickendippers, I think it all makes sense after your helpful answers. I just wish that when you post answers like "Yes", "No", and "N/A" you would add little details, just like in your last post Rob. That would save us from keep on posting the same questions we don't understand, on which we only get yes/no/N/A answers. Not that you even have to respond, but dry yes/no/N/A answers are of little help, because to understand the issue at hand I need some more details why it's 'yes' or 'no' or 'n/a'. Thank you though for elaborating a little bit. And like I said, you don't have to post answers if you don't feel like or if our amateur questions bother you. I am just exploring the ground and I am not as knowledgeable as you are. And if I ask a simple question, it's means that I don't understand something yet, and your yes/no/N/A answers do not help me to understand. If you feel bored to elaborate your answer on our simple questions it would be much helpful if you would just post a link to info on the internet where we can learn more about the questions we have. Thank you! Sincerely, Serg Good luck with everything, -
I have one more question: I signed up for free enom account already through other company (which partnering with WHMCS and gave me free WHMCS license.) But I noticed that WHMCS offering free enom account with lower domain pricing rates, compared to the enom reseller rates other company offered me. If I want to sign up for enom reseller account through WHMCS, would I be able to cancel enom account registered through other company, and re-register through WHMCS? I know that I got WHMCS license for free, through the company who rents servers to me, but I hope it won't be a problem for me to sign up for Enom or ResellerClub account through WHMCS. Thank you! Sincerely, Serg

Hi guys, I was wondering what's happened to your Mobile Add-on, that was suppose enable it's users to manage certain WHMCS tasks through mobile devices? I believe I read about it on your website and I liked the idea. But I cannot find it now. If I am not wrong, it was on your 'addons' page. Thank you! Sincerely, Serg

WHMCS domain pricing & Enom default pricing?
HostBizLng replied to HostBizLng's topic in General Discussion
Hi, Thank you for your reply. Rob, I think I tried to ask the question about Enom sub-accounts earlier and didn't understand why you asked me 'what am I doing with sub-accounts?' Because when I explored Enom information on their website I noticed that one of the points of having Enom reseller account is being able to create sub-accounts with their own admin info and adjusted by me prices for all sub-accounts. Now your answer on question #2 saying that Enom doesn't creates sub-accounts when domain names registered through API within WHMCS. But now, ... 1. Who owns a domain name when registered through my WHMCS? If sub-account is not created automatically, and domain name is not registered under my clients sub-account, then domain name is 'technically' registered under me and I actually owe that domain name? Isn't it? 2. What about domain name management tools (DNS management, forwarding, etc)? If domain names are not registered under my clients sub-account, then how will my clients will be able to login and manage 'their own domain names,' considering that they owe those purchased domain names? I am a little bit confused here. But since I haven't tested anything yet, neither Enom nor my website with WHMCS, I might be missing something. Will my clients actually be able to manage their domain names within my WHMCS? Thank you for your help. Sorry, I haven't worked with WHMCS, and kind of new, developing and exploring the possibilities. Sincerely, Serg -
Hello, I want to ask someone who using/used enom reseller account with WHMCS. 1. Should I use an option to provide clients details for the Billing/Admin/Tech contact, under WHMCS Domain Registrars configuration? 2. When domain is registered by my client through WHMCS with Domain Registrars configuration set to provide clients details for the Billing/Admin/Tech contact, does Enom will create a sub-account for that client under my Enom reseller account? 3. If Enom will create a sub-account for my client that registers a domain name from WHMCS, then what price would be applied, my Enom reseller price or (adjusted) Enom default price for sub-accounts? I am in the process of domain pricing configuration and got confused about WHMCS domain pricing vs. Enom default pricing for sub-accounts. I haven't tested orders yet, that's why I am here to ask these questions. If you can help me here it would save me lots of time, considering how long it takes to configure all TLD prices, and discounts for each TLD, etc. Thank you! Sincerely, Serg

Recommendations: enom Reseller or Retail
HostBizLng replied to mushmoosh's topic in General Discussion
Concerning grace period, I just been checking enom TLD Overview and there is a grace period for certain TLDs, as it always been. And there are TLDs that have no grace period. That's from enom website: http://www.enom.com/help/faq_resellers.asp#delete "What if my customer makes a mistake? Can a domain be deleted after it is registered? Yes, many TLDs have a 5 day grace period during which a domain can be deleted and refunded. Deletions can be performed using the DeleteRegistration API command (see the API Command Catalog). For more details about which TLDs can be deleted with this command, see the TLD Overview." Can you post a link to Refund Policy or link to ICAAN or any information you are referring to? -
Hello, I've been working on configuring WHMCS domain pricing, and found this task takes a lot of time due to searching information about whether particular TLDs require EPP Code for transfers or not. Or whether particular TLDs allow ID Protect or not, etc. Some TLD information in wikipedia clearly state this others don't. The same is for TLD websites, sometimes I am lucky to find this info, but sometimes not. Is there any list (single page information for all TLDs) on the internet that I can use? I am using enom reseller account, but I didn't find any detailed info on their website. Just wondered maybe there a single source (list) of information about TLDs? Thank you! Sincerely, Serg

Enom Domain Pricing vs. WHMCS Domain Pricing Configuration
HostBizLng replied to HostBizLng's topic in General Discussion
An update to my question above: Sorry, I guess I was confused. Worthless question. I was thinking about it and it doesn't make sense. I need retail prices configured in whmcs, and definitely I need retail prices configured in enom for sub-accounts. I don't know what I was thinking. Have a great one! Sincerely, Serg -
Hello, I just have a quick question. I just got my account with enom and right when I was ready to configure domain pricing in whmcs, I realized that enom has their own pricing editor that edits prices for all my sub-accounts. Well the question is, when my customers register a domain name through whmcs does enom going to charge me the reseller price they gave me (as a reseller) or when orders come through my whmcs with my clients sub-account info enom charges the modified (for all sub-accounts) price? I just wonder how should I configure prices in my whmcs and how should I modify them in enom? Or maybe by using enom API the prices I edit for sub-accounts on enom website simply doesn't apply? I don't know. It just enom doesn't pay out commissions till 90 days, and I am planning to use payment gateway on whmcs and will receive payments directly, why would I wait for enom commissions for 90 days? Just have to figure out how enom (reseller or default) pricing applies for orders made through whmcs. Thank you! Sincerely, Serg

Hi, I've been exploring whmcs and related services, and when it came to payment gateways, Google Checkout is free and PayPal too. In personal opinion these two online payment providers are great considering that a lot of people have PayPal accounts and they trust PayPal, and those who don't have PayPal do trust Google. (I haven't used them yet, so I cannot consider any problems that might arise with these well known companies.) Although, I did check Website Payments Pro, it is not free, but I wouldn't mind to pay monthly fee to PayPal for Payments Pro. But I think overall, Google and PayPal still offering free services (no monthly fees) and their reputation as trusted companies is just wonderful. Let us know if you find any good free payment gateway!

Hello, I probably don't understand really yet, but as I read documentation about customizing WHMCS, I read about adding custom pages to the client area or building an entire site around your WHMCS system. My original idea was to build a site and integrate WHMCS into it. Q: What are the basic advantages and disadvantages of building an entire site around WHMCS system compared to building separate site with WHMCS integrated into it? I am new to WHMCS and web design and coding in general, so my apologies if many of my questions in this forum wouldn't be much helpful, to the rest of the users, at least for a while until I get my head around it. Thank you!

Thanks for your reply. As was noted by Shaun, the hosting panel must have a permission to open an account, but isn't it one of the main feature of reseller hosting accounts, which is included with every single reseller account? If it's not, can you give me at least one example of reseller hosting company which I would have difficulty to add and manage within my WHMCS remotely. And the reason why it would be difficult or impossible. Anyway, I won't bother you w/more questions before actually testing WHMCS and reading thoroughly whmcs documentation. Good Luck to all! Thanks for being helpful

I have one small question: Due to so many different reseller hosting companies that offer different product packages (and due to some being very unreliable,) I wondered if I can integrate WHMCS system along with my website on one reliable hosting, and add servers to WHMCS from many other reseller hosting providers? For example: to create hosting packages to host websites in different geographical locations, or to create hosting packages by type of servers, like shared, VPS, dedicated, etc. Or simply for the purpose of testing the service of different reseller hosting companies without actually being attached to them (ex: without installing WHMCS and my website on their servers, yet test and use it through my WHMCS hosted on reliable server.) Thank You!
