  1. Nevermind, looks like my days of running an older version are over.
  2. My site will not connect to their licensing portal and curltest.php gives errors. When I tried to submit a new ticket, I keep getting invalid token messages from the website. Anyone else having issues?
  3. Dont forget DotNetNuke and phpNuke. Both are supported by a large community and both are free. They have just as many mods and templates, if not more, than joomla. Give them a look as well. All are good and like the others have mentioned, use what is best for the situation. I have used several at one time or another.
  4. Your dealing with a PayPal page and, to my knowledge, there is no way to change that page. If you are using PayPal, the average user should know what that is and know where to look. I agree its confusing but I am afraid you are at the mercy of PayPal on this one.
  5. The easiest way to park them is to by default point them to an IP address and then using the host header display their info on the page. As mentioned previously, if they change their name servers this becomes a mute point. We park domains for free as most people do. One thing you can do is park it then place google ads or something like that to help drive up some revenue. We dont use google ads but thats just a thought for what you could do.
  6. You can turn off the paypal subscribe option if you do not want it in the Payment Gateway section where you set up the PayPal Gateway The "Automatically redirect" setting is located under Confgiruation -> General Settings -> Ordering Tab
  7. Have you turned it on at the product level? Look at the group level and make sure the payment method is ticked for the method you want to show up.
  8. Is he trying to transfer? The domain was purchased in April according to the WhoIs on it.
  9. I have never seen this before. After reading my previous question, the question I asked made no sense since if they updated their nameservers it would not be in the My Domains section. This is going to be one for thw WHMCS guys. You could add the nameservers manually at Directi but it should be there in your client area. I use both eNom and Directi and Isee the register nameserver on all my domains I have under my control. Sorry I could not help you any more.
  10. Did you sell the domain through your Directi account or did they point their server to you?
  11. Do you not see the Register Namserver button under the management tools section?
  12. If you look in the customer area under My Domains and press view details next to the domain in question and scroll to the bottom you should see a button call register namesevers. From here you can register the nameservers. Hope that helps
  13. You could just set up a site on its own and pre-configure your DNS www record to point to this site. Then there is no lookup. We have a default site that reads the url and puts it up on the page as a place holder. 1. Set up a site you want to point to 2. Configured default DNS www record to point to site in step 1. If your customer does not use your DNS, not much you can do but if you have DNS in your control this should work as well as the option alreafy provided in this thread.
  14. Check the mode of your database. Make sure its not in strict mode. I had an issue with the installation when installing on a MySQL server that was set in strict mode. Turn it off, install, reset and you sould be fine.
  15. You can get a free 15 day trial here. https://www.whmcs.com/clients/order.php?step=2&pid=1
  16. Banar, I was just informed that PayPal will begin charging $30 additional for recurring payments. It has always been free up until the noticication I received to day. So if you have recurring payments and paypal pro, it will cost $60 USD now. What a rip!
  17. Free certs? I dont know of any free certs on eNom. I have never seen them in there.
  18. I would agree with HandsOn. Its going to be hard for the average person to understand. Has anyone seen the SNL Video of the law firm that did not buy a domain in time and ended up with a real funny name? I dont think that if they change the rules that you will see a mad dash of new extensions though. Someone has to maintain the registrar for them and while the rles would relax, the overhead would not and it would all still need managed. You might see new industry specific TLDs but I dont think we would see 100s per year.
  19. Mark, My problems stemmed from the entire process trying to get signed up. I filled out their online form and then waited for things to begin. Almost instantly, I started getting 2-3 emails a days from them. I recevied one that told me it has been 0 business days since you submitted your application. I was later told that email was not supposed to be sent out. Anyway, I got the same email until I cancelled my request. I received an email telling me my online doc was ready for review. Upon reviewing the documentation that was in PDF, I found lots of things wrong. I had marked my site was secure, the online doc did not reflect this. I had marked I had taken credit cards beifre, again the doc did not reflect this. I found several mistakes. I chatted again with someone and they told me they would email the pdf copy as they showed their pdf copy to be correct. I waited a few days and it never showed up, by this time I had passed the 10 signup period and they had placed my account on a hold rather stopping the signup process. I contacted support again about not getting the PDF and they again emailed it, telling me my spam filter probably caught. I never received this one either. No logs in the firewall or email server of any email of this nature. I finally got a hold of someone who agreed to fax the application to me. The fax showed up a few hours later and it looked correct. Then I found out I needed another form filled out. I began to fill the document out when I ran into questions as to what was needed. I got on their live chat and asked a few questions but the person on the other end could not answer my question. I was told all I needed to do was fill out the form. It was a form that is independent of the application, as authorization form of some sort. I just wanted to know what it was and what I needed to put on it. I eventually contacted someone else who told me it was an additional contqct form and that I was free to just sign it and fax it back blank if I was a sole proprieter. So now I am ready to fax the document, suppliments, and all other info back to them to get things rolling. I tried for 2 days and got a busy signal every time I tried to fax. I contacted support and was told to keep trying and maybe check my fax machine. We send and receive all day and CDG was the only outgoing faxes that failed. At this point, I figured it was time to give up. I had spent 2 weeks trying to save 10 bucks a month and it was just not worth it anymore. I see people all the time saying great things about CDG, and I have no doubt they are good, but I just happen have a very bad experience signing up and some of the support people I found to not be very helpful. I hope that answers your question and I hop you have better luck than I did. Jerel
  20. Did you replace the whmcs file or add your own? If you added your own, check out in the pdfconfig.php page for the logo. We had our own logo but we had to change the path. You should see $pdf->Image(dirname(__FILE__). The new template reads $pdf->Image(ROOTDIR. We had to change the path to ROOTDIR.'/images/outlogo.jpg' Give that a shot and see if that solves your issue. Jerel
  21. do you have any custom graphics in your pdf or are you using the stock pdf supplied.
  22. If you have this line at the bottom of the page in your pdfconfig.php $pdf->SetFooterData($CONFIG["Domain"]." - ".$_LANG["page"]." {pg} / {nb}"); make it #$pdf->SetFooterData($CONFIG["Domain"]." - ".$_LANG["page"]." {pg} / {nb}"); and save and you should be good on your PDF
  23. I have experienced this also. Did you have a custom PDF template by any chance?
  24. I have WHMCS and DNP and I have never seen the behavior you are talking about. I think they work well together. I will see if I can reproduce this but I have not seen it lately.
  25. Did you enter all your database information on the screen. You should see a screen asking for your license key and database info.
