not that I know of, I"m using normal install and your hook. I only did what you said. I have a ticket open with whmcs regarding this and they said its working but I KNOW its not working in admin view and the idiot was just able to register ( w/o paying for service *sigh* ) and then changed it yet again on the address1 and address2 fields. Sorry I'm answering so late, I'm getting notices you are responding.. I'll try to fix that right now. -

tried a few not much luck... @siteox I ran the hook and sure enough it triggers the error but suprisingly the AES_ENCRYPT is still added to the database LOL -

what does the last line do? specifically the , 1, I don't see that in the hooks section. Can you add multiple hooks per file? and TYVM!!!! I have mod_sec in place but apparently it still allows them to save the data. - - - Updated - - - Trying to learn how to do so. Thanks to siteox I now have a rough idea how to get started with hooks. I need to make one for passing a client login to Joomla so hopefully this will give me an idea how to do so. When you run a hook is it safe to pass the password or should that be done via the api? -
I'm getting frequent registrations using AES_ENCRYPT as part of the form fields. It appears that WHMCS has ZERO validation rules for normal fields, only for custom ones. How can this be remedied. If they are putting in junk it should flat refuse the registration, not continue to allow it anyway. WHMCS says this is not a vulnerability as it only puts it in sql as a text field. My view point is it should never be allowed in the 1st place. Can anyone help stop this from happening?

Hey guys, perhaps you can help clear this up for me. First let me state I'm a rank noob I'm seriously considering replacing my current template and config with "a more modern, responsive, flat style" that my friend is recommending I convert everything to. No specific template just seems to be less bling. My problem is afaik if I integrate WHMCS into Joomla ( seems to be difficult to do ) then I've got this folder called "whmcs" sitting out there easily bypassing my install. same with WP. Another is I use Joomla to handle my software distribution and probably more then anything else cause I've used it for the last 7+ years and just really comfortable with it. I don't think whmcs can do software distribution as well as Joomla can and I know zero about wordpress. So any and all feedback, recommendations, edification will be greatly appreciated.

I read a while back some threads where folks had rolled back the bootstrap whmcs update due to several issues... is this still true or is it stable?

it would be great if there was a way for enom pricing and whmcs price to be easily updated via a % . I spoke with enom about this just the other day and there is a way to do it via cron but the exact steps elude me this morning.

I'm having the same problem right now. I created a ticket a week ago that needed to be escalated and even though I requested some kind of update / eta on this I've gotten zero reply's. on more minor issues they've been dealt with fairly rapidly.. so I'm not sure what is going on.. perhaps dev of 5.1 is more important *shrug*

I'm trying to figure out the best way to setup an account from our various vendors ( this includes support tickets FROM other companies ) so that both myself and my wife see them and which ever of us gets the chance acts on it. For Example, if I've got a support ticket open with whmcs then it needs to go to a "central" email account that if I'm on I can answer but if she is she can. I've tried two different ways and I'm really not sure which is best. right this second its totally nerfed. if I don't use whmcs and use imap, it works but! the message shows as "read" to the "non-1st" person to check the mail. I appreciate your help. Thanks your totally confused Bear

can it be set so they can only request the reset once per day? I'm concerned that hackers would use it to keep resetting when trying to brute force -
would be nice but so far don't look like anyone is interested in tackling it

I'm getting kinda frustrated... we've got an email account called "IT" and we want to use it for places like whmcs support tickets and other software we use so we can use give it to them as a contact email address yet the whmcs system will take that email, send it to everyone on the it department and allow us to send a reply back to them. now we have it for "now auto reply, but it still creates a "ticket email" to the it group instead of just sending the mail throuigh. Am I missing some step somewhere or am I being unrealistic. Billing is another email addy where this happens, although in this case we did allow response cause we couldn't figure out what else to do. The purpose for IT is it might be me, my partner or another that answers the email, you never know one email to the next

I hope I can explain this issue properly... we have an email address it @ jowwow.net that is designed for us to give to merchants ( like whmcs ) so that when we open a support ticket with them and they respond our "IT" group can receive the notice and who ever is on duty can respond. Well the problem is if we have auto-reply on then the two ticket systems bounce emails back and forth and even reopen closed tickets.... so we've turned that off for those accounts. but that still leaves the fact that every email that orginates w/o whmcs ticket # gets a ticket number assigned and then we have a gazillion tickets open. we're not a huge company, only 4 of us, but still it can easily grow to be a big issue.. its already annoying... Anyone got a workable solution? we can just use double forwards cause then we don't know who if anyone answered it.

I just watched the teaser http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?p=203412#post203412 and the only thing i can say is I hope 4.5 client templates work with it
