I have upgraded to v5.1.2 but the behavior is the same - when I give a sub-account contact permission to 'View & Manage Contacts' it does no good. The person can log in. They can see the permission under 'Your allowed permissions are:' on the My Details page but so is the dreaded pink-highlighted 'You do not have the required permissions to access this page' message so they have no access to change their own password, let alone another contact. After searching on here and trying all the settings, it appears that only the master account owner or someone given master account access can change any passwords outside of the password reset link?
Is that true or am I missing something? Is it true that sub-account contacts cannot change their own password to something of their choice with master account permission? It seems pretty worthless to be able to give someone 'View & Manage Contacts' permission where they can even see they supposedly have that permission if there is no way for them to actually exercise it unless they have master account control. Seems to limit the use of adding contacts to a very few functions.
I am using the portal theme with few changes at anglerhosting.com, and don't allow new clients without a purchase due to a smaller, personal clientele and some issues with fraud attempts I don't need to waste time on the way most of my clients do business. Thank you if you can offer an insight into this.
