My migration story using multiple currencies from MB4 to WHMCS4

Over this past weekend I finally completed the merging and migration of my MB4 CAD and USD installs to WHMCS4. It was a little scary at first and I expected the worst, but when all was done I had ZERO major issues and only a couple minor issues.

 

We completed the move in 2 stages.

 

First, we did a direct import of our USD customers. We expected this to work flawlessly as if we were simply performing a routing import and it did. Our system was setup and working within a few hours with all our data imported over. We ran this for 6 weeks before moving into phase 2 with our CAD customers.

 

We had Matt build us a custom PSIgate plugin, that depending on the currency associated with a customer profile, it would charge our USD or CAD merchant account (because we do not convert currencies). This also worked flawlessly and after having Matt makes a few mods to the mbimport script (so that ID #s didn't get overwritten), we imported our CAD users.

 

We've only been running the system with both currencies now for 3 days, but credit card transactions have gone through properly and after verifying most of the data, we don't foresee any issues.

 

We've wanted to do something like this for a long time and after MB's failed attempts at multiple currencies, we're glad to be using WHMCS, a system that works properly and has a great customer support channel.

Thanks for sharing. I may have to contact you to get that USD/CAD transfer script. We've also paid for customized PSIGate module.

 

I wonder why Matt doesn't release this to public since many people have already paid into the PSIGate script! It would just be fair.

 

Anyway, if anyone wants the PSIGate USD/CAD module, please let me know...

 

Can you share the customized MBv4 script to add other currencies?
