CodyColby
I am a brand new webhost, not one client yet. I would like to know, how do I draw in customers without advertising? Don't get me wrong, I will spend money on advertising but I would like to get a few clients before I start the advertisting stratagy. Any opinions?

We have really only started marketing ourselves in the last 7 weeks or so, it be interesting to hear how long it took others before they started getting traction.

host1plus
Learn about marketing or off-page optimizing things or hire a quality man from India to do ti But first of all is on-page seo
othellotech
I would like to know, how do I draw in customers without advertising? Advertising *is* how you draw them in Your website is an "advetisement", your forum signatures are "advertisements", your hosts' name spray-painted on the side of your car is an "advertisement", your url tatooed on your forehead is an "advertisement" ... They all have a cost - "free" advertising still costs in time, effort, etc.
MasterHost
Early days? dont waste your money it will cost you more to get a couple of clients that you could hope to earn inside of two years when you advertise. Your best approach to getting clients through people you know personally, build build up a reputation as a good service provider, it will be hard work but you can do it with some dedication, build things slowly speed will kill off any chance you have of success. And good luck however you decide to go about it
