neobug103
I see that there is an option to give a reseller their custom nameservers but I'm not quite sure how this works, there is no documentation about this or forum posts which is quite odd. In addition I noted that in the new reseller account welcome email, it mentions nothing about nameserver information, what is the deal with this? Shouldn't there be a field where they learn what their nameserver information is? and I just checked the server, there were no additional a entries created with the domain nor were any dns entries created for the custom nameservers. As far as I can see that little button that says 'Setup Custom ns1/ns2 Nameservers' does nothing. neobug103
I am aware it is somewhat easy to insert this into the email: Nameserver 1: {$service_ns1} ({$service_ns1_ip}) Nameserver 2: {$service_ns2} ({$service_ns2_ip}) Fact of the matter it should be inserted by default. Nonetheless the primary thing here is that WHMCS fails to create any sort of nameservers for the client, therefore the issue remains that the button "Setup Custom ns1/ns2 Nameservers" is either broke or doesn't do anything for some reason. Matt would you please be able to explain the function of the "Setup Custom ns1/ns2 Nameservers" button as it is quite unclear.
Jpoke5
yes i would also like to know more about this. seems like when an account is created in whm the default name servers are used for the company i purchase hosting from, is there any way to set this so when my whm creates a cpanel account the name servers are set to my own custom ns"s Jeff
Jedito
It does create the nameservers on the "reseller profile" however does not on the DNS zone. You have to do that manually unfortunately.
striddy
It does create the nameservers on the "reseller profile" however does not on the DNS zone. You have to do that manually unfortunately. Ask your hosting company to change the default namservers for you. Then they will be used when setting up a new account.
