presale contact form data in client center?

Guys people contact me for presale questions through contact page

 

we send and receive emails then the guys decides to sign up but all the information about preslae is just in my email at my computer

what you guys do to have them on client record in client center?

I use an address that pipes into the helpdesk (Kayako). This associates those emails with that person, and if they sign up it becomes part of thier ticket history.

Basically, the support or presales address you want to use for contact is piped (forwarded to the script) to the helpdesk I use, opening a ticket. I'm not using the built in helpdesk for this, so it was really simple. All links for support issues within WHMCS point to the helpdesk I use, and it's skinned to look similar to WHMCS. To the client it feels about the same.

 

As long as the client uses the same email to sign up, all tickets created thereafter are easily found.
