Keiro
Hi guys! I'd like some constructive criticism please, and your opinions about the site overall. So far, I've been working on resolving issues, ensuring that WHMCS works flawlessly and without trouble. I've got a few issues left, though I'm beginning to integrate WHMCS into my site... or is it the other way around? Well... so far I've not been able to integrate the logo of my site into where WHMCS's logo is right now... it's huge, and while I know that to remove the brandings completely, you gotta pay. But seriously, all I want is to get rid of that damnable banner for now and begin integrating the site's themes into it. I've been working on the theme for a bit.. but still, the banner is a sore point for me lol

Bucket
Whats the link to your site, theres no link there...
Keiro
Awesome transparency man! How did you do that? Transparency?! NO! Seriously?! I thought it wasn't possible?! Hostwire, you're correct. The link is http://shattereddreamshosting.com The Support tab links directly to the Client Area. I'm still working on figuring out how to make things work together. The template I've been modifying is taking quite a bit of my time in integrating into the site... but this'll do for now.
redrat
It was a joke because your site was invisible! EG: No link!
DedicatedPros
So where do you say you made any changes to the default portal template
Keiro
It was a joke because your site was invisible! EG: No link! I know. I enjoyed the joke. Dedicated, my custom template's currently local only at this time. I just can't figure out how to get rid of that blasted black banner, with "ShatteredDreams Hosting" and replace it with the logo that I currently use with my site. Just in case you're wondering: I'm using the default portal online while I'm working on a local copy of the portal template. Edit: Well, color me surprised. Looks like I found the setting to change it... I'll be trying this in just a moment. Edited August 2, 2009 by Keiro

annomander
Well, there is good and bad points. The good point first. Your main site, if you leave out the footer, and parts not working (order buttons) is pretty dam good, very clean and nice. The downside, your whmcs, is a let down. You have a very good basis to build it on with your main site Did two different people work on it? Did someone do the front end and someone later integrated the whmcs? If not, go back and kick his ass ;-) No, really, the majority of your main site is great, so by having the whmcs as it is is dragging the whole down. Now, back onto the front end, as I said great, the biggest majority, on the front page, good back and look at the blue box that says " Welcome to ShatteredDreams Hosting" and the items below it, these arn't gelling with the top half, the quality drops from very high at the top, to meh at the bottom, the footer links in the grey box are just like they are from another site. Oh, and also just noticed, tinker with your login box on the top right, something not feeling just right. Down take this the wrong way and as a bash and be upset or downhearted, as I said, its the difference in quality thats make me say this cheers
verdictjosh
pretty boring actually... using the same icon for DNS Zone Editor as per the Domain Checker not a stand out imo
JofleyUK
I AM GOING TO CRY!! LOL I am using a slight variation of that template. I need to get the cusom pages finished tho, so everything links to the whmcs install. Mind you it looks ok so far. Cant really knock it as my template is pretty much 80% of yours!!

Dan_Sheen
Nice skin, I like it, not something I would use though as I find white a bit plain, but nice work.
Impact-John
ouch that is a royal kick in the you know what to have two sites almost 99 % similar when trying to reveal a showcase.
JofleyUK
In saying that, I do want to follow the site theme across from the Lunux hosting/Reseller pages to the front page wont look like that for long. It is a free site template an at the end of the day, its how we both perceive the end product that will decide on how the templates look like after completion. I really only liked the layout of the original front page but the images will be fully customised. And hey back on topic.. LOL.. Shattered Dreams site is coming along nicely, altho the whmcs area needs a little work. I had a nighmare trying to work out why there is a big white box after the language selecton until i realised it was a fixed width image!!

You have a very good basis to build it on with your main site Did two different people work on it? Did someone do the front end and someone later integrated the whmcs? If not, go back and kick his ass ;-) Actually, no, it was all me that did it. I tried to integrate the site together as nicely as possible. I'm not much of a website designer, and I'd like to think that I did a pretty good job. No, really, the majority of your main site is great, so by having the whmcs as it is is dragging the whole down. I had not realized that the top half and the bottom wasn't meshing very well, and this is one of the reasons why I sought feedback. Edit: Looking at my site and considering what you were saying, I realized you were correct. Wow, that's quite a major oversight on my part! Oh, and also just noticed, tinker with your login box on the top right, something not feeling just right. I know... I'm not too happy with it, but I haven't figured out how to integrate it nicely into the site just yet. Down take this the wrong way and as a bash and be upset or downhearted, as I said, its the difference in quality thats make me say this cheers I'm not taking it the wrong way. In fact, I appreciate your constructive criticism and will be working on the issues you've pointed out. Color me surprised! LOL I wasn't expecting to see someone else with nearly the exact same template. I'd also been considering redoing more of the template, making it more my design. All I really needed was the basics, and the template we're using basically gave me that. I just need to learn more in how to make a great site.
Keiro
ouch that is a royal kick in the you know what to have two sites almost 99 % similar when trying to reveal a showcase. It is. Fortunately, I already had plans on implementing my own design, altering the current design. It's just a matter of trying to make the changes without totally screwing up the site lol Jofley, I have to say I agree. As for the white space after the language selection, I'm curious, what browser were you using when you realized it was a fixed white space? Edit: I'm considering asking a designer friend of mine to help me out with designing the website. I'll probably be taking some of the elements of the current template and adding them to a new one, at least, wherever I think is best.
