HELP! Invoices generated Even AFTER the product is cancelled!

Could someone help please...

 

This is my issue. Customers are being billed even after they have cancelled their service. In the case, the user requested cancellation of his product on 6/10. I went to "clients > [client name] > products/services", in the admin and chose cancelled from the "Status" dropdown box. But what happened was that he was sent invoice on 7/10 even though the status was "cancelled". I think it is some thing related to the next due date. it is displayed in the user products page as 7/10

 

Please help if there is any solution for this issue.

If there is any change is to be made in the configuration, please let me know.

I had that happen with a canceled VPS account from an external provider recently as well. AFAIK, the host complied and canceled when I asked, as I got an email stating it was successful. Next due date I was invoiced, and the day after was sent a late notice.

 

I haven't seen this on my installation, as I rarely get cancellations.
