jamestingay
Hi all I have been using frontpage to edit and create tpl files. Sometimes it opens them fine so that i can switch between Design and code tabs but with others it converts to almost text. I played with the options but nothing seams to work. Anyone got any idea's? Thanks James

EasyWHMCS
i use adobe dream weaver cs4 that works fine, but you have to pay for that, other than that notepad++ will do you fine
jamestingay
The reason i like using Frontpage is you can view the file as it would be seen live, then click to the code page, or even have the page split into half code and have as it would look. It was working fine so not sure why it has changed. Does Dream Weaver work like that, @gs-liam?

Zandebar
You seam a really nice gu, I won't be rude as am new around here. But not sure if the other guys will share my remarks, but where I come from {covers mouth and speaks muffled} Microsoft terms and products coff coff {speaks normal now} Well are classed as swearing, the tearm 'wake up and smell the COFFEE' springs to mind. But to answer your question does dreamweaver function the same way, YES it does ADBOBE ROCKS, but shoves in some <bad> code at times. Am sure you could evaluate it, but if that doesn't appeal any text editor would help. as mentioned before. Or pleanty of cheap HTML editors wysiwyg if u must, that are out there around the $50 mark. I'll name one coffee cup HTML, bit <bad> but does work and is OK. and None MS Whhhooo. Have fun, Linux Rocks and MS Sucks! Go on get proper security; LOL hehehe
EasyWHMCS
i'm not so sure on the operating system as i've only ever used linux for webhosting but use windows for the rest, I think your able to turn off the predictive text sort of thing by adobe where it chucks in a load of garbage, not sure though, but think there is a option, but its not that often and most the time its useful (when you want the code to go there:P)
Nexxterra
try firstpage there are 2 versions, 2000 and the paid after trial version 2006 this offers split screen view too plus lots of tools. I rarely use anything but a text editor, but this program works great http://evrsoft.com
