Encrypted Password

Division

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Just went to unsuspend some web hosting accounts using the unsuspended button in WHMCS and have found I get a Module Command Error message with Login Failed.

That is because the passwords are encrypted and when view it changes it to a random password.

I have customers account which are suspended, for which cannot be unsuspended due to the fact the passwords in the WHMCS have changed to the cPanel and it cannot be done automatic.

Is there a way to turn off the encrypted passwords?

No, that's not related. You don't need to know a customers cpanel password to be able to suspend, unsuspend or perform any other action. It's your login details for WHM in Setup > Servers that this is saying are wrong.

Hi Matt,

I have set the password on an account and saved it...

Logged out and then back into WHMCS admin...

The password then changes to an random mixed characters of a password...

I then try to suspend the package and its says login failed...

It is definitely something wrong on your end. What version of WHMCS are you using? 4.0.2? Do you have the correct remote key entered for your server?
