plateaultd
In our previous system (MB) we had it setup to do billing once a month and prorated the month. I have setup WHMCS to work in a similar manner, but since we are switching systems I am wondering does this still make sense? Anyone have any pros and cons to either method of billing? If I stick to 1st of the month billing does it make sense run the cron job every night? Thanks, Roger
chickendippers
We run anniversary billing because it's more common and everyone understands it. Our servers are pro-rated and we are asked to explain it sometimes.
Exoware
I find people are less familiar with pro-rated.

easyhosting
can someone explain about Prorated Billing ? Normal billing - A client signs up today (23/06/09) on a monthly plan then they are invoiced every month on 23rd. Prorated Billing - You set you invoices to become due on a certain day of the month (lets say 1st of every month). A client signs up today (23/06/09) on a monthly plan, their first invoice will invoice them for the period from today (23/06/09 to 30/06/09) and next month from 01/07/09 to 31/07/09 and then they will be invoiced every month on 1st
