Anniversary vs Prorated Billing

Recommended Posts

In our previous system (MB) we had it setup to do billing once a month and prorated the month. I have setup WHMCS to work in a similar manner, but since we are switching systems I am wondering does this still make sense?

Anyone have any pros and cons to either method of billing?

If I stick to 1st of the month billing does it make sense run the cron job every night?

Thanks,

Roger

can someone explain about Prorated Billing ?

Normal billing -

A client signs up today (23/06/09) on a monthly plan then they are invoiced every month on 23rd.

Prorated Billing -

You set you invoices to become due on a certain day of the month (lets say 1st of every month). A client signs up today (23/06/09) on a monthly plan, their first invoice will invoice them for the period from today (23/06/09 to 30/06/09) and next month from 01/07/09 to 31/07/09 and then they will be invoiced every month on 1st
