meeven
I got a direct reseller account with DirectI and am configuring a new WHMCS install for which I need to take a call or whether to use Resellerclub or DirectI as the domain registrar. In the wiki, it says, The DirectI module requires that you create a customer under your reseller account, all domain orders will be placed by this customer. Your customers can only manage their domain names through WHMCS. The ResellerClub module will create a customer account under your reseller account for each of your customers. They will be able to login to the SuperSite interface and manage their domain names (this offers more options than WHMCS alone) Now, can anyone with experience specify what are the 'more options than WHMCS alone' available through the Supersite interface? Does 'more options' refer to the other directi products? Or, does 'more options' refer to domain and email forwarding? If it's products, I don't intend to offer any other. If it's domain and email forwarding, it says there is no support for managing this through WHMCS, but this seems to be planned for a future release: Issue 483 on http://dev.whmcs.com/index.php?version=planned Any help would be greatly appreciated. netearth
Hi meeven, When a customer logs in to the supersite / control panel, they can add whatever products that you make available, just set the ones you do not want them to access to Inactive in RC. Thats the additional services the rc mod allows. Chris
meeven
Hello Chris, Thanks for the clarification. I don't ever intend to sell any other Resellerclub product or use the supersite/control panel in any manner. Most customers entrust me with the job of handling their domains, so I guess it's better to use Directi as the registrar module in WHMCS and allow customers to manage their domains through WHMCS alone.
