v4 - Unable to create account on plesk 8.3

FastTrack

Recommended Posts

After upgradation, We are not able to make a single client over plesk 8.3.

We receive the following error:

Module Command Error

CURL Error: 28 - Operation timed out after 100000 milliseconds with 0 bytes received

Please provide a solution to fix this.

Thanks.

I did the same, upgraded to v4, finding out that plesk 9 is needed. I got the following using plesk 8.6: MODULE COMMAND ERROR 1005 - protocol version 1.6.0.0 is not supported. current protocol version is 1.5.1.0

V4 looks amazing. Plesk 9 looks enticing. If i upgrade to plesk 9, i'm sure other bugs will pop up. Just upgrading the module plesk, looks like a temp fix.

What would you do?

As most Plesk users will be aware, the way Plesk handles their API is to make it not backwards compatable with updates. Therefore, you should only update to the Plesk module in V4 if you are running Plesk 9 for all your servers. If you are not, you will need to continue using the current module where creation of clients and domains should still work.

Source: WHMCS v4.0 Release Notes

Basically what it is saying is that if you are not running v9 of plesk to have the old plesk module installed.

You can find this module at:

whmcs\modules\servers\plesk

If you have installed v4 for WHMCS then simply go to your client area, download 3.8 and upload the plesk module that is with that package and it will work fine.

Cheers.

I would suggest to whmcs team to have separate modules plesk and plesk9 so we can handle both if we have servers with different servers. I tried to create a plesk9 module by copying the plesk files to plesk9 but I guess in the code there are references to plesk so plesk9 is not available in the modules drop down of the server config.

I tried the same thing, but no joy. I wonder if anyone has figured out how to do this. I'm sure there are more than a few of us who have mixed Plesk 8 and Plesk 9 server scenarios. @sgpaul: did you ever have any luck?
