webguyxyz
Hello everyone, I'm currently using WHMCS and I offer strictly web hosting services. Recently a couple of customers have asked me if I could register the domain name for them as well. I am wondering how I can offer it so that it is a legal and proper way to register domain names on behalf of my customers. I do not have an Enom domain reseller account yet. (But I might get the basic one from Enom if this is what you guys suggest in response to my message.) This is what I was thinking but I would like your feedback and suggestions: I was thinking to register the domain name manually from one of the domain registrars available on behalf of my customer, and then email the customer with the registrar login information to manage his registrar account (such as updating their contact information, etc.) so that the customer goes to the domain registrar's website to manage the domain registration, while the customer goes to my site to manage his web hosting account. What do you think could be the issues with this system? Is it a legal way to register a domain name on behalf of my customer? Any suggestions/feedback? Thank you.
