Few questions before buying whmcs ..

Hi,

I have few questions before buying whmcs ..

 

1. I am looking to buy it from a reseller.. Will I get unlimited updates with reseller too ? I mean you provide your reseller licenses unlimited updates ?

 

2. Does your reseller licenses contains permission to remove your copyright footer ?

 

3. If I choose to lease it from you should i buy the license for my main domain or for my subdomain ? since I am going to use it on my subdomain.

 

4. Can I later change my license to a permanent one by purchasing it from you ? can reseller license be also later changed to a permanent one ?

 

5. If I will develop custom payment plugins (From freelancers) will they work with new whmcs versions too (upcoming ones) or will I have to make changes to payment gateway codes for new releases ?

1. It depends on the reseller and type of license you are buying. You would need to check with them directly.

2. No they do not allow you to remove the branding

3. You don't buy a license for a domain as such, you just purchase the license and then we auto detect where you install it

4. Yes, you can upgrade from leased to owned any time but you don't get any discount for the time paid towards a lease

5. Yes, module formats are unlikely to change in the near future.

3. It doesn't matter where you install WHMCS, plus you can change the install location whenever you like.

Thanks for your reply and that means we most probably be purchasing directly lease from you for 18.95 USD per month with branding removal ..

 

Kindly tell me can we also customize our that whmcs ? as we are using our own support system and would like to clean the support links from client interface can we do that ?

 

and for that lease should i give my subdomain or my domain during purchase ? or that doesnt matters for direct lease from you as well ?

It's very customizable using the included templates (.tpl files). I use an external help system (Kayako) and simply edited all support type links to that installation. Skinned them both alike and it's mostly seamless.

Ok thanks and one last question before we will purchase whmcs most probably when its new version 4 will be released .. Does the refuge discount applicable on lease license too ? we will be migrating from clientexec and will be purchasing 18.95 USD per month lease license with branding free option ..

If you lease then you'll get the version 4 upgrade for free.

When you purchase your whmcs licence you do not need to enter which domain your installing it on, it will pick this up when you install the software.

 

Also, if at a later date you decide to move your whmcs install to a diferrent domain, you can log into your client area (here), and reissue your licence automatically. Then all you have to do is go to your whmcs admin directory (via your browser), and enter the new licence key.

Not sure, I seem to remember reading somewhere that you had to spend $50 before being eligable for the refugee discount, but I might be mistaken.

Anyone from the staff to reply this ? and does it works without a hassle on SSL ? we simply need to put our site url in whmcs with https ? or is it more advance procedure to use SSL with whmcs ?
