thernes
Hi all We are currently looking into our backup routines before we start getting more customers. With the amount of customers we have today, we are currently just using cpanels backup-feature and back up all accounts on the server 1 time every day to a remote facility via FTP. Now before we start getting more customers, we would like to take some steps to get better routines for this. I was looking at r1softs CDP system, but the price is to high for us at the moment. I was hoping that you guys could share some of your thoughts and setups. I believe I have seen a setup somewhere where the clients easily could restore to the last daily, weekly and monthly backup, but I believe this is not possible using remote backups, like we do. Your thoughts and suggestions would be highly appreciated. Thomas
bear
Cpanel backup to a secondary drive, and daily rsync off to a backup server. We unmount the backup drive when it's not in use to lower the odds of an attack wiping it all.
