Registrar with No setup fee or deposit?

Hello,

 

I a looking for a registrar which has no setup fee and no deposit.

 

In other words, i can register for a reseller account, input my info into WHMCS and my clients will be able to register domains with no further action besides me setting up TLDs.

Hi,

 

You can use Enom as a retail account you are able to do this, they only charge for Reseller accounts. I'm unsure if the retail account allows you to set up automatically to buy the domain, but in my opinion all domains should be manually checked before ordering anyway, this also helps reduce fraudulent orders being processed and you be charged for a domain no one actually wants.

IIRC the Enom retail account doesn't let you use the API, they also let you cancel domains if you submit a ticket within a few days.

Ok, to speed up my current search, can anyone else suggest a common registrar that small hosting companies go with?

Do a quick search on some of the hostingforums. You could probably get a sub-reseller account without setup fee.

I use OnlineNic. They have pretty low rates and a small upfront deposit to credit your account, enough to register 10 domains. After that you just credit you account with a minimum US$ 25.00 whenever you want. Works for me.
