nielolee
When I test my WHMCS and create a dummy order I receive the "New Account Information" Email but it always get Flagged as a 'Phishing Email' and gets sent to my Junkmail folder and is blocked from displaying images. I am using Windows XP Pro Service Pack 2 and running "Windows Live Mail" instead of Outlook. I very very rarely receive any phishing emails - so I become very aleart when I see the WHMCS (version 3.8.1) Welcome email and account details get classified as a Phishing *. Anyone else have this problem? I dont even really know what "Phishing Means" but I have to "Unblock" the email to view it and remove it from my junkmail folder. The Exact Message I Get: Suspected Phishing Message (big red cross on it) Options: [Delete] | [Unblock Message] This message looks like a phishing * and has been blocked for your safety. What do I do from here to fix this, its not looking to good for me as a host - and it happens to be the most important email a customer will ever receive from me. I have tried both [Mail()] and [sMPT] with correct mail sending details entered - both give me alerts. Would it be possible that by adding my company logo into the header of the New Account Information Email that could be the cause? Thanks Lee
chickendippers
Well yes you should always include your company name and contact details in all emails you send. 1. So your customers know who is contacting them and 2. Legal requirements.
bear
Is it possible that it's seeing the inclusion of the IP address vs domain name as a potential *? I've seen some filtering think there's never a legitimate cause for inclusion of IP addresses in a message.
hanetworks
I'm have the exact same problem, I've tested with various email clients, and *most of the time*, the "new account information" email was marked as "phishing email". You all don't have this problem? I also tried SMTP, it doesn't help anyway.
simplybe
If the email contains urls and ip's it's marked as phishing mail. I add a line to the order confirmation email telling the customer that the account information email will follow shortly and they should check their junkmail as it may be marked as spam due to links. I also give them details on how to get the email from the 'my emails' in the client area. I tried various ways and send in plain text but they always get flagged in windows mail.
