generic
Well, I left modernbill over 2 years ago, then went back and even tried v5, what a joke, whoever designed that should be fired... then went to lpanel, been there for 2 years, thru all their bugs, issues, and only gout about 1 out of 10 forum post answered and maybe half of my tickets answered. But it did work good for what i needed... then came the hack, their site down again, and i figured time to move on... looked around, saw all the good comments about your system, tried it out, and simply love it so far... gonna keep testing / learining for a few weeks, then I plan on moving over to it full time for new clients. Thanks for creating a great product with great support.

Sandy
I am currently with Lpanel. Been with them for a few months and yes...they were down last night and now again! I am sick of this..lol But my question is is this WHMCS remotely hosted when you buy an owned liscense like Lpanel is or is it completely on your hosting server and not remotely hosted liek Lpanel?
Harrison
All licenses are hosted on your own servers.
generic
lpanel is not remotely hosted either....all the files are on your own server. do you mean something else?
adakist
I believe he is referring to the way the licensing uses. WHMCS utilizes a cached license key, unlike LPanel which has to call the server (on every page load, I believe) so when their server is down, even your client area becomes unusable.
floyd
WHMCS utilizes a cached license key So how long can WHMCS run without contacting the license server?
PPH
I believe it allows 6 days to contact the license server as long as it has validated b4. The client area would still function either way. I have noticed that any license validation problem causes the "Powerd by WHMCS" to be displayed, whether you have paid for non-branding or not.
