vj135
hi, I am starting a new service for prospective clients. It's an OFF-site backup services for small biz owners/home users. I want to add this package to WHMCS(will WHMCS allow me to add backup service packages?). Will a client be able to upgrade and downgrade this "off site backup " packages via WHMCS??. any help is much appreciated. THANKS
bear
Since it's likely similar in setup to a hosting package, you should be able to set these up with WHMCS, as well as selling upgrades and so on. The methodology would depend on how you provision these accounts.

For hosting packages we used WHM to configure the hosting packages etc. How do i "configure packages" for backup ? btw, I am using "vembu" for off site backup. Shaun
You configure it like any other package. A package does not have to have a server assigned to it. This means you can create a package/service in whmcs, it will handle all the billing and it will handle it like a hosting package. If you set it to upgrade you can also have it Pro-Rata the prices and it will credit for the unused portion if you select it to.
vj135
I went to Product/services and then created a "New product". The options/tabs i see now are details, pricing, stock, module settings, custom fields, configurable options, affiliates, upgrades, others. Where exactly can i say 2 GB package = $10, every extra 1 GB = $ x ? or say 2-3 GB package = silver package, 4-5 GB package = Gold etc? thanks vj You configure it like any other package.A package does not have to have a server assigned to it.
