redrat
Aha. Seems like you already know. In that case, http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=graphic+making+software&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&client=firefox-a or maybe better: http://www.smartdraw.com/specials/ppc/flow-chart.htm?id=45104&gclid=CKb9w8CfwJcCFQsh3godvA0vSw or even this. http://www.edrawsoft.com/ Edited December 14, 2008 by redrat
Its Trish
Hi Lemon, First you'll need an image editing program. If you don't own Photoshop then do a Google search for the phrase: photoshop alternatives You'll find many free ones, and there's one very popular free opensource software. Second, use the editing program to make rounded corner boxes, and apply a color gradient to the background of each box. As for the arrows, the software also has shape tools with pre-made arrows, you just control the proportions of the arrow line and arrowhead. Next you'll need to obtain some icon images. To find the same style images as in the example you cited, do a Google search for the phrase: free xp icons After you download a 'set' of icons, you can go back into Photoshop, and from there you can import any icon graphics you desire. And finally, to tie everything together: In your image editor, create a separate "layer" for each arrow, for each rounded-corner box, and for each icon image. Then you can easily move the layers around and position everything into your finished image. Good luck! trish : - )
Its Trish
p.s. ... or if you don't want to do it yourself, you can make a posting on a project board with a target price of $10 to $50. I know that many people will do it for $10 but be sure to check the person's rating/reputation score beforehand; personally i like to spend a few pennies more and go with people with a good rating/reputation.

Its Trish
$10? Wow... Yeah, it's surprising to see for the first time just how low those project board bids can be. Countless home-based workers in the U.S. are eager to pick up any projects they can; I imagine the 20-minute Photoshop project discussed above (which btw is equivalent of 30 bucks an hour) will receive many low bids. The majority of project board bids come from abroad. In many countries where labor is 10 cents per hour, $10 is kinda pretty. trish : - )
clbryan26
A free program to use is called Gimp and its fairly relative to photoshop. We use Macromedia Fireworks 8 (Now Adobe something or another) but Microsoft Expression Design is also good (even for microsoft).

JohnMac
That pic aint that hard to do, looks to me as if they used the rounded rectangle tool to make the boxes, then put in the extra images and text. Should only take a few minutes in Photoshop.
ChrisGooding
Office 2007 already has all of those in it. I am using them in school now. Not sure if you can export to an image but i think you can. They are indeed, and im pretty sure they can be found on MS site, and downloaded as long as you have an account. Its the smart art graphics your after. Alternatively you can create them in word (create new file, then.... insert> smart art button), then drag-drop them to an image editor
